Ditch the gunk!
I don’t know about you, but I don’t know any kid who doesn’t love gummy fruit snacks. When I found out you can make your own homemade gummies, I got super excited. Imagine… a gummy snack that consists of only 3 simple ingredients and very little time! So awesome.
Spoiler alert: All three of my kiddos love them.
What You Will Need:

A gummy mold and dropper or medicine syringe (Here is the link to the molds I used.) *See note below if you don’t have a gummy mold.
A saucepan
A rimmed baking sheet
Ingredients for Homemade Gummies:

- 1 Cup fruit juice of your choice (I used grape and apple juice for two different colors.)
- 4 Tbs Grass fed beef gelatin (I found the one pictured above at Walmart. This one is also comparable.)
- 2 Tbs Honey
Directions:
- In a sauce pan, whisk the juice and honey together.
- Bring just to a simmer.
- Add the gelatin in, whisking quickly as you add.
- Remove from heat and use a dropper or a medicine syringe to transfer liquid into molds. (Place the molds on top of a baking sheet for extra stability.)
- Place molds into the freezer and let set for 10 minutes.
- Remove from freezer and carefully pop the gummies out of the molds.
- Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week.

What if I don’t have a mold?
You can still make these homemade gummies! Instead of pouring the liquid into the molds, you will pour the gelatin liquid into a baking dish or onto a rimmed baking sheet. Once set, you can cut the gelatin into little cubes or triangles with a sharp knife.

I have also used a small goldfish cutter and it worked great and turned out so cute! My kids loved the little goldfish shapes. You can find the goldfish cutters here! They are handy for making homemade goldfish crackers. You can find my homemade sourdough cracker recipe here.

Notes
When using the gummy molds, make sure to fill completely to the top.
If bubbles occur, you can use a toothpick to smooth out the liquid.
Don't have a gummy mold? You can transfer the gelatin liquid in a rimmed sheet pan or baking dish and let set up in the freezer. Once set, you can cut the gelatin into little cubes or triangles with a sharp knife. You can also use cookie cutters for bigger shapes.
