Cottage Cheese does it again!
Is it just me or is cottage cheese having a major moment? And rightly so… it’s creamy and versatile and it adds so much protein! And I don’t know about you, but I have picky eaters and they definitely don’t get in a lot of protein. These kid-approved banana mango creamsicles have almost 8 grams of protein per pop, so this treat is a win-win for mama.

Ahh the last gasps of summer are here! It’s the end of August and still well into the 90s most days in Idaho but I can sense the end of summer is near. Back to school season is upon us but we are still trying to stay cool in this heat that won’t last much longer. So here’s to a little sunny treat that is made with natural, healthy guilt-free ingredients! Let’s enjoy these last few days of summer.
Healthy Banana Mango Creamsicles – Here’s how:

You will need:
- A blender
- popsicle molds
- 2 cups Cottage cheese
- 1 Ripe Mango
- 1 Ripe banana
- 2 TBS Pure Maple syrup
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla (optional)
Blend all ingredients together and pour into your popsicle molds. (Be careful not to fill the molds too high.) Freeze for at least 4 hours and enjoy!



If you don’t have popsicle molds, you can also use the banana mango creamsicle mixture to make “nice cream”. After blending, just pour into a freezer safe container. When you are ready to eat it, let it sit and thaw out a bit so that it will be soft enough to spoon out with an ice cream scoop. Another option is to pour the blended mixture into an ice cream maker and let it run for 20 minutes. It will make the most amazing creamy sorbet!
My little guys devoured these! They were so good and such a refreshing treat on a hot afternoon. They are already asking me to make more.

- 1 banana
- 2 TBS maple syrup

- Blend all the ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle molds
- Freeze for at least 4 hours and enjoy!
